Club Organization
Since in its inception in 1999, the Road Runners Track & Field Club has been committed to the development and advancement of track and field in the Bahamas. We are a non-profit organization and an active member of the Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations. Over the years we have made amendments to our programmes to address the social, spiritual and academic needs of our athletes, in addition to engaging them in a year round intensive track & field program. We are innovative in our thinking and are consistently designing new programmes and initiatives that will help to inspire and motivate our athletes to realize their talents and potential, and to achieve excellence in all areas of our lives.
This club is considered more than just a track and field organization it is about a nation building and developing the whole man, the club works with Christian principals. Discipline sportsmanship and high moral standards are emphasized in the clubs daily programmes. To continue educating our athletes about Bahamian history and culture we have them visit cultural events and places of historical significance as apart of their recreational activities. We also attend religious services on a regular basis; the club also emphasizes the importance’s of high academic standards.
